Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Aren't you glad that school is out for a week. For me it's just not Thanksgiving without a fried turkey. My husband started doing them many years ago and its now a family tradition. They are delicious!! What's your favorite food for Thanksgiving?
...family. Mine, my husband's, either one. As long as I can look across the table (be it over a home cooked meal or in a fabulous restaurant) and see the faces of my favorite people, I know it's time to give thanks!
It is not Thanksgiving for me without my mom's dressing, dumplings and cakes! She is a great cook. Too bad I am not going home this year for Thanksgiving as she will be traveling. :-(
Happy Thanksgiving! My favorite food is pumpkin pie! Did you know that they have come up with pumpkin flavored ice cream? It's too bad we can't get it all year round!
Thanksgiving is not complete without getting together with my family. It is a time of being thankful for what I have and for having my wonderful family. We usually have a game time where we divide up and play board games. Scrabble has been a tradition!
I am very excited to have the week of from school. Tuesday is my birthday so I love having the week off to celebrate with my family who live out of state. I can't wait for my mom's famous green bean casserole. Happy Thanksgiving:o)

ReplyDeleteThanksgiving is just not complete without my mother's sweet potato soufflé completely covered with coconut, brown sugar, and pecans. Is it a side dish or dessert? :)

I love sweet potato casserole! I've never put coconut in mine. I'd love to get your recipe.
